About me
Education
I initially entered New York University as a classically trained violinist, majoring in Strings Performance. Music was an integral part of my life, teaching me discipline, emotion, and storytelling--skills that I now depend on as I design and development websites. I studied Music Business and Data Science at New York University, where I learned how to combine creativity and strategy.
How I started..
As a first-generation Korean American, I’ve seen firsthand through my parents how technology can be challenging and not always built for everyone. With that in mind, I took an Introduction to Web Design and Development, where I learned the basics of HTML and CSS. As I continued to build my skills, I saw an opportunity to design something meaningful: a website that was built for my dad and his customers.
My Process
My design process begins with empathy: understanding people to build for everyone. I approach each project with care and intention, balancing usability with visual storytelling. I value collaboration, conversation, and empathy, and I believe thoughtful design is as much about how something feels as how it functions.
Hobbies
In my free time, I love to play violin, piano, and guitar. I have been playing the violin since I was 7 and started learning piano and guitar recently. I have grown up playing in orchestras, chamber ensembles, and as a soloist, where I excel in Western Classical repertoire. In addition to music, I enjoy creating art.. more specifically pottery!
